About the course
The land in this area is oil rich, in fact, there is an oil pump that comes into play on hole #7. Thirteen of the eighteen holes are new with plans to replace the remaining five. The new fairways are irrigated and several are tree lined. There are numerous bunkers guarding the large, undulating greens. The signature hole is #4, a 175-yard, par 3, featuring water from the tee box to a fairly large-sized green that has a bunker on one side and trees in the back. Water comes into play on ten holes altogether.
