About the course
This course originally opened in 1930 and was redesigned in 1961 by Norman H. Woods. It is a relatively long course with tree-lined fairways that are wide and forgiving, and firm, well-manicured greens. The most difficult hole requiring accurate ball placement is #4, a 420-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot onto a dogleg right fairway. At the elbow is a very large tree standing in the middle of the fairway that you either carry over or go around. The 3,165-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 68.4 and a slope of 118.
