About the course
This course looks out to the Canadian Maritimes from Cape Breton Island. It is set above the scenic coastal town of Baddeck, known for its fine harbor and a museum that is dedicated to the work of inventor Alexander Graham Bell. This 200-acre site was built on rolling, wooded terrain and offers 137 feet of natural elevation change. The most difficult holes come toward the end of a round. The greens are accentuated by smooth lines with moderate undulation. Tree-lined fairways are very playable regardless of handicap. The course concludes with a massive par 5, which plays along a platform that looks out over the whole town and Baddeck Bay. Signature Hole: 17 - #17 is a 182-yard, par 3, which plays across a deep ravine to a green that sits precariously in a pocket of trees.
