About the course
This resort offers two eighteen hole courses, the Valley Course and the Ridge Course. Both the Valley Course and the Ridge Course were built on hilly terrain. The fairways on both courses are fairly wide with most being tree lined. Water hazards come into play on over half the holes on both courses and sand bunkers are scattered throughout the designs. Overall, the greens are small and fairly slow, but the greens on the Valley and Green Briar courses are all flat. The Ridge Course has significantly more elevation changes in the greens and tees. It is also a longer and tighter course. The greens offer greater undulation than the Valley Course. The signature hole on the Valley Course is #17, a 188-yard, par 3, which leaves no margin for error. The hole plays like an island green with water in front and on the left. Trees on the right guard against a bail out and winds tend to swirl. The signature hole on the Ridge Course is #4, a 165-yard, par 3, which offers "a little bit of everything." The tee is elevated and plays to a large green that wraps around a river. The hole is very scenic as it looks over the Valley Course. The Ridge Course is cart mandatory. The resort has been chosen for several awards, such as one of the top 35 public courses in Ontario, the Best Value Golf Resort in Ontario, and the Golden Links Award for one of North America's top 100 golf resorts.
