About the course
This course is hilly and has narrow, tree-lined fairways. The greens are medium-sized and, depending on the weather, can either be slow or fast. Sand bunkers are surrounding the greens and there are several water hazards that come into play. The signature hole is #3, a 165-yard, par 3, which calls for an elevated tee shot over a valley with a creek at the bottom to a green surrounded by bunkers. Stanley Thompson redesigned the original nine holes in the 1920's, before Clinton E. Robinson designed the back nine, which was added in the 1980's.
