About the course
This mature course is a parkland style design that features a heavy population of trees. The first hole is near a railroad and trains are occasionally bombarded by a wicked slice. The starting two holes are open, the next seven are located in the woods and have tree-lined fairways. The small greens are elevated but hold the ball well. The signature hole is #8, a 190-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot through a narrow gap between two stands of trees to an elevated green. Tee reservations are necessary only on weekends. The ladies tee off from the same set as the men.
