About the course
This course has two sets of tees for both men and ladies. Many people who have played this course said it plays as good as any full eighteen hole course. The course is situated in a valley that is surrounded by picturesque mountains and trees. A river winds throughout the layout and comes into play on several holes. The signature hole is #8, a 455-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot over water to the fairway, which starts out wide and then narrows toward the green. There is a water hazard in front of the green and a large sand bunker in back. Howard Watson redesigned some holes in 1973, and his son, John, redesigned a few others in 1976. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.
