About the course
Situated on the Channel coast the course features typical links characteristics. The course is technically challenging and requires great accuracy in your shots. The holes 10, 11 and 12, also called the "Bermuda triangle", sometimes spoil the good score and dash one's hopes. Although the course is technically difficult, golfers with a higher handicap will also enjoy the round. The Club house is a genuine old Norman style cottage with bar, cafeteria and restaurant. General remarks: The area around Deauville, the region's principal resort, is especially well served with golf courses, with two at Cabourg, one each at Houlgate, St. Gatien, St. Julien-sur-Calonne and Deauville, and a new one at Tourgeville, just down the road from Deauville. Elsewhere there is the superb Omaha Beach Golf Club which overlooks the landing beaches near Port-en-Bessin, another in the outstanding surroundings of the Suisse Normande at Clécy, two on the outskirts of Caen at Biéville and Carcelles and another at Vire's Lac la Dathée in the heart of the unspoilt Bocage region.
