About the course
The Dieppe-Pourville golf course is situated on the cliffs by the sea on the road leading out of Dieppe westward towards Pourville. Inaugurated in 1897 is was rebuilt in 1953. The present course has eighteen holes covering an area of about 40 hectares/99 acres, with further land available for an eventual extension. Today the Golf Club is nearly 100 years old and in very good condition. Automatic spraying of the greens and teeing areas was installed in 1991. Many young trees have been planted in the last few years. Flower beds have also been laid out. The terrain is slightly undulating and from some places you have wonderful views over the Atlantic coast between Dieppe and Pourville. The restaurant is open at noon for lunch but is closed on Tuesdays and throughout the month of January. It offers a complete menu and simple dishes à la carte. The club has for many years been twinned with the Brighton and Hove Golf Club in England. At the beginning of each spring a friendly match takes place at Dieppe. The atmosphere is always relaxed, sympathetic and warm. Birdies are rare on this course, but competition is keen at the 19th.
