About the course
This is a championship course in the Mediterranean hinterland. Barely 5 kms from Montpellier town centre and 10 kms from the sea, the Golf-Hôtel Blue Green Montpellier Fontcaude is an oasis of peace. Out of the 'garrigue' - the wild scrubland peculiar to the region - Chris Pittmann has modelled a course of championship calibre. The eighteen holes follow the contours of a tree-lined and gently undulating landscape. The strongly scented 'garrigue' borders the narrow fairways. Some holes hug the line of the river, but offer wider target areas protected by tall trees. The nine-hole 'executive' course is designed in the same style as the championship course and is an excellent introduction to golf for the beginner. The regular golfer will find that as a useful test of the short game. Special arrangements are available for residents with the Blue Green Cap d'Agde golf club. Other amenities include: Swimming pool (outdoor). Babysitting on request.
