About the course
This is t h e French course mostly reminiscent of Scottish links, right down to the rabbit-holes in the sandy soil. Its character is for the most part flat but does have quite a few deep bunkers. Wimereux can be as much a delight to play on a fine day as it can be horrifying when a gale is blowing. The course was redesigned in 1958 without too much of the original character or its old charm being lost. There are no water hazards on the course, but trees give the golfers enough test to their playing abilities. And the rough can really be rough ! The sea is only 200 metres away.
