About the course
The setting on the Hill of Howth is idyllic, with breathtaking views over Dublin bay to the south and the Cooley Mountains to the north. The course was designed by the famous James Braid who also is responsible for the prestigious King's Course at Gleneagles. It is a typical heathland course, offering any golfer - novice or expert - a most enjoyable and challenging game. The clubhouse is a fine building of great character, situated in a commanding position overlooking the sea. The facilities are spacious and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a game or just to meet friends in pleasant surroundings. The Carrickbrack Lounge and restaurant accommodated parties of upto 180, and in the Shielmartin Room, the club's bar and lounge, snacks are served by pleasant staff. Golf packages are available. Credit cards are accepted in restaurant only. Other amenities include: Banqueting facilities for 180 people.
