About the course
Rosslare Golf Links is ideally situated in the sunniest part of Ireland. The Old Course is laid out by the Irish Sea and is a traditional championship links designed by Hawtree and Taylor. The links was first opened for play in 1905. Nine new holes were added in 1992, designed by Christy O'Connor Jr. The 27 holes provide an excellent test of golf all year round. Six holes of the Old Course have been reconstructed in recent years, a fact which led to very favourable comment from members and regular visitors alike. The Rosslare golf links and the resort have a notable tendency to attract golfers who return time and time again. The alchemy of excellent hotels, seaside atmosphere and a superb golf links would seem to be the ingredients of the special magic that is Rosslare. Rosslare enjoys one of the finest and driest locations in the country. Other amenities include: Children's playground, recreation centre, indoor swimming pools, beauty centre, tennis courts, crazy golf, pitch & putt, horse riding. (Sandy beaches, five miles away).
