About the course

Valderrama is the Number One on the European Continent. It is rated #50 of the 100 Top World Courses. Nobody who has ever played this course will be surprised, that Valderrama is the venue of the Ryder Cup in 1997, the most awaited event in the whole golf circuit. Impeccable greens, wonderful fairways dotted with old cork trees, olive trees, flower beds and skilfully placed white sand bunkers are the fascinating challenges. The 4th is the most beautiful hole which ends on a raised green with a waterfall close by. The 8th commands all your concentration to master the trees lining the fairway and a green completely protected by bunkers. From the 15th you will enjoy magnificent views. You have to go around a slope and a hill before reaching the long shaped green which slopes at the rear. The 6th, a par 3 is surrounded by no less than 6 bunkers! The 11th, a par 5 of 500 metres/550 yards, slopes to the right so that the green is not visible. Incidentally, the 17th was designed by the Spanish Champion Seve Ballesteros. The clubhouse is a large, elegant building with an important collection of golfing antiques, an excellent restaurant with views of the golf course, a lounge with bar for relaxation, and the wonderful meeting place. Experienced professionals will support players of all stages and the excellent driving range makes training a real pleasure. An additional attraction is the nine-hole par 3 with its wonderful design and an abundance of exotic flowers. Courses nearby: Sotogrande, La Duquesa, Alcaidesa, San Roque.
