About the course

La Moraleja boasts 45 holes on two superb eighteen hole courses and one nine hole course. Moraleja I: For a good score on this course you need to play with accuracy, particularly since the greens are medium-sized, fast and excellently defended. Your drive definitely has to be exact so as to land in the ideal position for the next shot and a well thought-out choice of clubs is imperative. At the par 5's the longhitters can reach the greens in two which is certainly recommended in the face of so many dangerous hazards. The par 4's are all very short and the ideal club to tee-off with is a long iron. This course provides a very entertaining golf experience. Moraleja II: This course was designed by architects associated with Jack Nicklaus whose influence is quite evident. On the very large greens three putting is not unusual, espcecially if your approach lands too far from the pin. For not only are the greens huge but they are very fast and uneven, which calls for particularly careful reading. Many of them are well-protected by water hazards, some by trees and well-shaped and strategically placed bunkers. The first nine are the easier half which does not mean that you can rest on your laurels. Be attentive constantly because difficulties crop up when you are not expecting them. If you are in Madrid you should try to arrange for a round at Moraleja. Weekends are very busy. Other amenities include: Tennis courts, swimming pools. Courses nearby: Club de Campo, Jarama RACE, La Duhesa.
