About the course
Cooden Beach was described by James Braid when it first opened in 1912 as a good sporting course. It is both fun and a good test of golf for every class of player. For the young and strong there are ten holes which exceed 400 yards/366 metres in length, whilst for the senior golfer the undulations are gentle and the springy turf pleasant to walk on. The dykes and bunkers will catch the wayward shot but the real hazard is the wind, which makes it a different course every time it is played. The clubhouse is well appointed with all facilities including a Licensed Restaurant which is open throughout the day and should it rain there are two snooker tables and a card room.
