About the course
The spectacular beauty of the Budock Vean Golf Course in its magnificent parkland setting, close to the tranquil beauty of the Helford River, presents an exciting challenge. This delightful course is playable throughout the year, such is the equanimity of the climate in this most southerly part of the British Isles. Strictly speaking the course is a nine-hole layout, but since there are different tees for the return holes, the character of each hole and the club selection required is quite different. The course has an interesting variety of short and long holes, some greens can be reached directly from the tee, whilst others require at least 5 shots. The seventh hole on this interesting course is still one of the longest in the county and the ninth green, 'The Flower Bowl', is one of the finest short holes in Cornwall. Other amenities include: All-weather tennis courts, indoor heated swimming pool (opening out on to the terrace in summer and log fire in winter), watersports in the Helford River.
