About the course
This scenic course is unique in that it is open twenty-four hours a day June 1 through July 20. Water hazards (two natural lakes) come into play on three holes. The greens are large, undulating, and well bunkered. All the narrow fairways are lined with birch, Alder, and fir trees, and bordered by a thick cut of moderately tall rough. This course celebrated its 50th anniversary on June 21, 1996, the longest day in Alaska, the land of the midnight sun. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 8th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The course was redesigned by Robert Muir Graves in 1989.
