About the course
This course was named after the Apache Longbow, a military attack helicopter that Boeing develops across the street from the course. The layout features a mix of long and short holes that skirt across rolling desert scrub land. The designer made good use of natural washes that run through the property. One of the more difficult holes on the course is #5, a 489-yard, par 4, which requires two solid shots to reach the small, well-bunkered green. The fairways are firm and many of the greens are left open at the front, enabling golfers to run up their approach shots. The 5,626-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 71.5 and a slope of 120.
