About the course
Designed by Gary Panks, The Legacy's lush green fairways, forgiving rough, well-placed hazards, and manicured greens offer a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The fairways are rolling and surrounded by indigenous grasses, flowers, shrubs and trees. The course elevation provides exceptional views of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the Phoenix skyline.
Site of the 2000 LPGA Standard Register Ping tournament, The Legacy Golf Resort is the former setting of the 7,500-acre Dwight B. Heard ranch. The resort has preserved many of the ranch's remaining structures and monuments throughout the course - giving golfers an added opportunity to experience a taste of Arizona history.
The course signature hole is #15, a 165 yard par 3 that requires a careful shot over a sizeable water hazard and several well placed bunkers in order to reach an elevated green.
The resort also features a heated swimming pool with pool-side bar and whirlpool, tennis courts, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, children's playground and pool, complete fitness center with massage therapy, and hiking trails nearby.
