About the course
Located minutes from downtown Phoenix, Vistal Golf Club is a 27-hole facility that includes an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole par 3 short course, both of which opened for play November 2001. Formerly known as Thunderbirds Golf Club, the Championship Course was designed by PGA TOUR Design Services, and the Short Course by Tom Fazio. The holes of the Championship Course have been arranged so as to capitalize on the dramatic views of the surrounding hills and the Phoenix skyline. This track plays from 4,800 to 7,030-yards, and there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. The Short Course is home to the First Tee of Phoenix, and multiple tees on each hole allow it to be played as an 18-hole course. For additional information call (602) 305-7755 or go to www.vistalgolfclub.com.
