About the course
Situated on a former Air Force Base across the Mississippi River northwest of Memphis, Thunder Bayou Golf Links is a 27-hole facility featuring an existing nine hole short course and a new eighteen hole championship length track that opened for play April, 2002. The eighteen hole course is a links design by architects Ault, Clark & Associates, and is virtually treeless. Thunder Bayou is constructed over rolling terrain, and the greens are large and fast. Water comes into play on seven holes, and there are plenty of bunkers throughout the design, demanding proper club selection and accurate shotmaking. The course plays from 4,851 to 7,232-yards, and five sets of tees allow this course to be tailored to a variety of playing styles. For additional information call (870) 532-2621.
