About the course
This short course is an excellent place for intermediate and beginning golfers. "Dad" Miller was a pioneer in golf. He stomped door-to-door campaigning for a municipal golf course in Anaheim. In December of 1970, at age 93, he earned his first hole-in-one on hole #11, a 107-yard, par 3, and a few years later, "Anaheim Municipal Golf Course" was renamed in his honor. There is one lake that comes into play on at least two holes, and numerous trees line the fairways. If you drive the ball well, you can reach some of the par 4's in one shot, but the fairways can be tight at times and out-of-bounds stakes line some holes. One of the hardest holes on this course is #17, a long par 5, which measures more than 600 yards. The greens are undulating and have average speed. In addition, quite a few sand bunkers have been spread throughout the course's design, but they mainly come into play around the greens. This is an excellent location to bring the entire family. The course's 24-hour tee time reservation number is (714) 748-8900. Nine hole green fees are in effect after noon; weekend green fees are in effect on Friday.
