About the course
Located in the East Bay area of San Francisco, Shadow Lakes Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship track designed by Gary Roger Baird that opened for play September 2001. This par 71 links-style course has open, rolling fairways with significant elevation changes from tee to green throughout. The fairways and bunkers are lined with native grasses, and the course is generally treeless. Water comes into play on nine holes, most notably the par 5 #6 where it defends the entire right side of the fairway. The large, undulating greens are fast, and many have false fronts. Shadow Lakes plays from 5,402 to 6,750-yards and offers four sets of tees to accommodate a variety of handicaps. Senior discounts are available.
