About the course
This links-style course features fairways that open up for a clear view of Delaware's beautiful C&D canal. However, for a links-style design, the course is very tight. The large greens are fast and advertised as the "best greens in the area." "GOLFWEEK" selected it 98th among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1999. The 6,105-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.7 and a slope of 135. Senior discounts are only available Monday through Thursday. The dress code specifies no denim or sweats of any color or kind, collared shirt, soft soled or soft spiked shoes only and bermuda length shorts. This policy is also in effect for the practice facilities. For additional information call the pro shop at (302) 378-6499 or visit the club online at www.backcreekgc.com.
