About the course
This club has five outstanding eighteen hole courses, including a pair of Tom Fazio designs that opened in 1997 and 1998 respectively. A new 8,294-square foot clubhouse was completed in 1998. These courses have their own distinct design, but each has fairly wide landing areas on the fairways and many natural hazards. The Marsh Course has more hazards and is tighter than the other courses. The Creekside Course is more open and features less trouble. Both the Bay Island Course and the Marsh Course require play through swamplands and around lakes. Also, both courses have interesting elevation changes. The Bay Island Course was selected by "Golf Digest" as the 15th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. The Florida State Amateur is annually played on these courses. Both Tom Fazio designed courses, Cypress and Sabal, feature forgiving fairways and large, fast greens. Bunkers are deep, both on the fairways and greens.
