About the course
Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club features two championship, 18-hole courses designed by the Arnold Palmer Course Design Group. The daily-fee Legacy Course opened in 2000, and can be found elsewhere in this directory. The newer Private Course was completed in 2004, and reflects a more traditional design. The front nine of this course offers a mixture of water, strategically placed bunkers and strong elevation changes to challenge play, while the back nine plays through trees and wetlands, and offers more target-style golf. Tees and greens are elevated, giving this course a strong feel of movement. There are six tees available, ranging in length from 5,135 to 7,141-yards. For additional information call the club at (941) 907-4700 or visit the club online at www.lakewoodranchgolf.com.
