About the course
This facility has two Tom Fazio eighteen hole championship courses and a nine hole executive course.
Pine Barrens is the signature course for the club. It is a tight, intimidating layout named for its large number of pine trees and barren waste areas. The design demands many long carry shots over waste areas, as well as delicate placement shots to small landing areas. Generally, trees come into play on either the left or right side of each fairway, but rarely both. Two small lakes also come into play on this course. "GOLF Magazine" chose it 11th among the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." for 1998, 38th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1997 and 1999, and 39th in the same category for 1995. "GOLFWEEK" awarded it 13th in the category of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 11th for 1998 and 9th for 1999.
