About the course
This is a 400-acre island course and is part of a private community. Lake Dora surrounds the course and runs alongside some holes. The fairways are mostly wide open, and sand bunkers outline the course in the true Joe Lee tradition. The greens are average-sized and quite undulating. The most difficult hole is #13, a 184-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot that must carry the entire length of the lake, usually with a cross wind affecting your shot. The shifting winds make this course a different challenge every day.
