About the course
This course was built on semi-hilly terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies. The fairways are typically wide, and a pond comes into play on two holes. In the springtime, the course bursts with beautiful dogwoods and azaleas tucked into the tall pines. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay redesigned a portion of the course in 1986. The entire course was again renovated in 2003, changing much of the original layout and strengthening the overall design of the course. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays, up to seven days in advance. Bobby Jones won the Southeastern Open here during his Grand Slam year of 1930.
