About the course
Located 45-minutes west of Atlanta, The Lion Golf Club is an 18-hole championship track designed by Arthur L. Davis, and opened for play September 2001. This mountain-style course has rolling tree-lined fairways that offer some dramatic elevation changes. The undulating greens are large (averaging 6,000 square feet) and fast (measuring 8-9 on the stimpmeter). The Lion plays to 7,080-yards at the tips, and there are five sets of tees to accommodate a variety of skill levels. Water comes into play on ten holes, seven of which are on the back nine. Twilight, junior, and senior discounts are available. For additional information call (770) 538-1400.
