About the course
Located just northeast of Atlanta, is Windermere Golf Club. Part of the Windermere master planned community, this 18-hole Davis Love course opened for play June 2000.
The course is a traditional parkland design, yet the variety of elevation changes almost give it the feel of a mountain course. The club staff knows this and although not required, carts are recommended up to 5pm.
With heavily tree-lined fairways leading up to large, undulating, fast greens, this course will prove a worthy challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes and include several creeks and lakes. Sprinkler heads are marked with yardages, and all carts are GPS equipped.
Residents of Windermere can purchase memberships at the club, yet it is open to the public. Tee times can be arranged online at www.lmtt.com.
