  About the course

This course is typical of a Jack Nicklaus design, playing left to right. It is well bunkered with generous landing areas. The course is cut through magnificent north Georgia oaks and pines. The course caters to all golfers. There is no signature hole, however, it is noted that Nicklaus' favorite hole is #11, a 418-yard, par 4, which requires both tee and second shots over water. The green is small and well bunkered in front. This club serves as a model for future Golden Bear communities throughout the nation. Nicklaus created the concept to allow resident and nonresident members to enjoy his famous course designs. The course is located in the center of a private and gated community, but there is a separate and convenient public access entrance leading to the course and clubhouse.
