About the course
This award-winning resort was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Gold Medal Resorts." It features three outstanding eighteen hole courses and annually hosts the PGA Lincoln-Mercury Kapalua International Tournament. "GOLF Magazine" even selected it to their 1998 list of "Top 10 PGA Courses You Can Play." Hole #5 on the Bay Course, a 205-yard, par 3, is the signature hole. This course was designed alongside the shores of Oneloa Bay. The Plantation Course is a links-style design and the longest of the three courses. This course was built on the natural contour of the land. "GOLFWEEK" afforded this course 52nd out of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 79th for 1998 and 88th for 1999. "GOLF Magazine" selected it 26th on its 1998 list of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play In The U.S." The Village Course rises into the scenic West Maui Mountains. The front nine is short, and the back nine is longer and the most challenging. Furthermore, the Village Course is the most scenic course. For additional information call the resort at (808) 669-8044 or visit the club online at www.kapaluamaui.com.
