About the course
This eighteen hole course has a layout that is open, however, Jim Lipe, the course architect, accomplished his task of setting the holes against the tree lines and not making the golfer feel as though he or she is in the middle of a spacious field. The fairways are generous, aided by the intermediate cut between the fairway and rough. Long hitters will appreciate the monstrous #2 hole, a 620-yard, par 5. Although the hole is very long, there is a saving grace, a prevailing wind at the golfer's back. All of the bunkers are playable and none will punish the golfer. This is a course that will require golfers to use every hole in his or her bag. This private eighteen hole course is linked with the Louisiana State University Tiger Athletic Foundation.
