About the course
The Farm Golf Club is located just north of Lafayette, and features a championship, 18-hole course designed by architect Jeffery D. Blume that opened for play in February, 2003. Constructed on Mississippi River bottom land, this challenging course was once home to several local farms, hence the club's name. The generous, tree lined fairways play through some dramatic elevation changes, and this course sits well above sea level - an unusual topography for land in an area largely under sea level. Adding to the challenge of The Farm are over 14 interconnected lakes which come into play on several holes. The greens vary in size and speed. The Farm plays from 4,605 to 7,003-yards and offers six sets of tees to challenge all handicaps. For additional information call the pro shop at (337) 886-2227 or visit the club online at www.thefarmlinks.com.
