About the course
Red Tail Golf Club is an eighteen hole championship track designed by architect Brian Silva, and is constructed on the former Fort Devens U.S. Army base. The course opened for play in April 2002 and features a mixture of styles, from classic New England woodland holes to more open, rolling terrain reminiscent of linksland courses of the British Isles. Water comes into play on a few holes, notably the par 5 eighteenth which requires an approach shot over water to the green. Red Tail plays from 5,049 to 7,006-yards and there are four sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. For additional information call (978) 772-3273 or log on to the clu’s website at www.redtailgolf.net.
