About the course
This course is best known for its large greens that are difficult to read. The thick rough bordering the fairways also adds to the difficulty. In addition, sand bunkers come into play on the fairways and around the greens. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. One of these holes requires a shot over a pond to the green. The signature hole is #18, a 455-yard, par 4, because it provides a great view of the campus and a large fountain. "Golf Digest" rated this course 79th best under the 1996 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." They also selected it as the 16th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and the 9th best for 1997-98. This course can only be played by students, faculty, alumni, or their guests.
