About the course
This facility has three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen hole combinations. The layouts combine to form the longest coastline of any course in the U.S. There is diverse topography with each set of nines. The first nine holes, The Links, traverses high bluffs above Lake Michigan. The Quarry Course is surrounded by cliffs. The last nine, The Preserve, is located in a wooded area. "GOLFWEEK" selected the Links/Quarry 43rd among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 61st for 1998 and 33rd for 1999. "GOLF Magazine" chose the same combination 8th in the 1998 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S."
