About the course
This resort, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," features four eighteen hole regulation courses, including Tom Weiskopf design that opened in June of 1999. The Legend Course has exceptional greens and rolling, tree-studded fairways with several water hazards. The course covers seven miles of ground, and carts are obviously required. Many panoramic views can be seen from this course.
The Schuss Mountain Course is a championship course. The greens are extra large, and there are no parallel fairways. The head professional at this course is Roger Gieseck.
The Shanty Creek Course was built on rolling terrain and has undulating greens to test your putting skills. There are many strategically-placed trees that can alter your shot selection.
The Cedar River Course is links-style in comparison to the Legends Course, however, there is a good variety of landscaping, including hilly terrain, hardwoods and pines. The 5,801-yard men's tee on the Legend Course also has a ladies course rating of 75.0 and a slope of 129.
