About the course
This resort offers two regulation eighteen hole courses, the Stevenson Course and the new Lakeview Course, which opened in 1997 and was designed by Arnold Palmer. The front nine on the Stevenson Course is wide open, but the back nine fairways are tree lined. The entire course was built on a hill. Water hazards (nine ponds) come into play on seven holes. All of the tee boxes are elevated to some degree, and some of the greens are elevated. The Lakeside Course opened nine holes in July of 1997, and then opened the other nine two months later. This is considered to be one of the most challenging new courses in the area. The design includes long, narrow fairways lined with trees and water hazards and bunkers on nearly every hole. Most of the greens have heavy undulation.
