About the course
This very hilly course has narrow fairways, and small greens that are fast. Water hazards come into play on nine holes. This club hosted the 1970 and 1991 U.S. Opens. It will also host the 2001 USGA Team Match Play Championship, the 2002 PGA Championship, the 2006 USGA Amateur Championship, and the 41st Ryder Cup Matches in 2016. "GOLF Magazine" ranked Hazeltine 78th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, 81st for 1997 and 96th for 1999. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 18th in the category of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 30th for 1998 and 34th for 1999. Caddies are required for non-members. For additional information call the pro shop at (612) 448-4500 or visit the club online at www.hngc.com.
