About the course
Shell Landing Golf Club - Located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, is a Davis Love III Signature course. Owned and operated by McIntyre Golf, the property boasts tall pines, marshes, bayous and wetlands, and rolling hills. These natural features combine with five sets of tees to afford a challenging course for all handicaps. The course opened for play November, 2000.
Golfers tee off from one of five sets of raised tees on each hole. The generous fairways are tree-lined, winding through the pine savannah, and leading up to large, undulating greens averaging 12,000 square feet, and playing very fast. Water comes into play on 8 holes and there are 72 bunkers to thwart approach shots. The course however remains accessible to all handicaps, as the difficulty of play is considerably eased from the forward tees. This is because from the forward tees, the angle of approach to the fairways is less, and there are no forced carries.
The course is soft spikes only, and all carts are equipped with the Parview GPS System. Shell Landing features a complete 25 acre practice facility, clubhouse and deck, locker rooms, personal bag service/storage, and pro-line rental clubs are available from the pro shop.
