About the course
This course features the Carson River flowing throughout its design. In fact, water hazards come into play on a number of holes, plus sand bunkers have been positioned around the course. A few holes are lined by out-of-bounds stakes, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The signature hole is #7, a 142-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over the Carson River to the green. The Governors Cup was held here in 1987. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.
