About the course
These military courses were built on flat terrain and are considered easy to walk. The Gold Course was renovated during the summer of 1996 with new green resurfacing, fairway grass, bunkers and five new ponds. There are only a few trees that can alter your shots. Ed Ault redesigned several holes on the Gold Course in 1979. The Scarlet Course has narrow fairways an well-bunkered greens. Again, renovations were made in 2003/2004. Additionally, numerous plaques have been placed around the course identifying various historical sites/events on or near Paradise Point. As an example, when the #12 hole was being rebuilt 100 yds west of it's original location, a suspected gravesite was found. Archeologists searched the area and discovered an American Indian burial ground. This area has been enclosed by a white fence and has been designated and registered as a historical site.
