About the course
The front nine on this course was built on fairly flat terrain and has the Scioto River bordering the holes. The back nine has hilly terrain and is well maintained. Water hazards come into play on nine holes. The most difficult hole on the course is #18, a 488-yard, par 5, with water hazards on both sides of the fairway and requiring an approach shot to a very large, undulating green. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 9th "Best New Public Course" in America for 1995. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The 6,182-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 71.5 and a slope of 127.
