About the course
This course was rated by "Golf Digest" as one of the top ten new public courses in the country for 1992. The signature hole is #16, a 417-yard, par 4, requiring a shot over water to an island green. The constant change of terrain, from an oak forest to open pastures, then to tidal marshes provided an opportunity for the designer to vary the characteristic elements of each hole and requires excellent course management by the golfer in order to score low. This course features a marsh on the front holes, three island greens, towering live oaks, rolling Scottish terrain and a low-country-style clubhouse.
