About the course
This resort, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1996 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," features three regulation eighteen hole courses. The Planter's Row Course is a narrow, shotmaker's course. Plenty of water hazards come into play, and beware of hidden hazards not seen from off the tee boxes. The Robber's Row Course is excellent for intermediate golfers. The fairways dogleg from left to right, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The real test on this course are its medium-sized, extremely undulating greens. The Barony Course is the least strenuous to walk and plays alongside the Atlantic Ocean. However, the wind frequently comes into play, so selecting the proper club will become a major part of the game. All three courses are alternated so that one is for members only, and the other two are open to the public. The Hilton Head Island School of Golf provides quality golfing instruction for every level of player. This club is owned and managed by American Golf. For advance tee time reservations, call (800) 2FIND18. CALL THE PRO SHOP FOR CURRENT RATES.
