About the course
This resort is perched on the northern edge of the Monongahela National Forest, 3,200 feet above sea level. The area boasts more than 6,000 acres of woodlands, meadows, hills, and streams, providing all the necessary hazards experienced golfers are looking for when they want to enjoy a challenging round of golf. Framed by the spectacular Allegheny Mountains, the course is surrounded by breathtaking West Virginia countryside. This design offers meticulously groomed fairways and lush greens with eight water hazards. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 10th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. This state park resort has hosted the West Virginia State Open as well as the West Virginia Ladies' Amateur Tournaments.
